The new legislation known as the Energy-related Products directive is designed to lower energy consumption and ensure that end users are more aware of the efficiency levels of the products they use on a day to day basis with the help of clearly displayed energy labels. It is a new regulation that is set and enforced by the European Union to improve the efficiency of all heating and hot water products produced by manufacturers in the UK.
