The RL2 relay is required for when two Amptec boilers of high kW are in use on the same circuit or in the same dwelling. The RL2 prevents both boilers from operating at the same time, as this could overload the overall power capacity, but temperatures would still be effectively maintained because both boilers alternate to keep water in the pipe and heating circuits hot
